Lovecraft Country episode 7 is coming this weekend on HBO, with the title "I Am." Identity has been a major theme of the series since the beginning. Now, this might be a huge part of this week's episode. It could see how the characters view themselves, as well as the world around them.

Details about the Lovecraft Country episode 7 remain scarce at the moment. The good thing is that there is a new preview clip for the upcoming episode. The promo features a lot of interesting and intense stories, and action-packed scenes.

Hippolyta's (Aunjanue Ellis) storyline will be one of the major focuses of this week's episode. The clip sees the character seemingly confused with what's happening around her. Yet, she can be heard saying that whatever she's experiencing "feels real".

Then, the promo shifts with Leti (Jurnee Smollett) informing Atticus (Jonathan Majors) that she thinks Hippolyta knew they lied to her. She added that the latter is in grave danger if she continues going to where things are leading her.

It looks like Hippolyta isn't aware that her life is one the line. There could be a lot of threats in the path that she's currently following. However, it appears as though she is enjoying whatever is going on with her. She doesn't know that she's putting her life at risk.

Also, Lovecraft Country episode 7 sees Ruby (Wunmi Mosaku) telling Leti that she wants to know everything. The promo cuts with Hippolyta in action while saying: "Freedom now that I'm Tisa. I see what I was robbed of."

The clip ended with the character shouting "I am Hippolyta" three times in different scenes, which is a reference to the episode title. We could expect a lot of intense battle here, and some deep secrets may unfold. There could be a revelation before the episode concludes.

Meanwhile, the ratings of the freshman show are seemingly performing well. CarterMatt noted that the previous episode generated 750,000 live viewers, which significantly increased compared to the week before. The good percentage of viewers likely comes from the DVR.

The series has been driving a significant amount of social traffic, as well. Most people are talking about it; a factor to get more views down the road. HBO shows also tend to build up more views as it progresses, something that could happen to this program.

Lovecraft Country episode 7 airs on Sunday, Sept. 27, on HBO.
