The Walking Dead season 10 finale is coming next month on AMC. This episode will be intense, bold, and violent. A lot of lives are in danger and some of them may not make it out alive. There will be a huge battle between the Survivors and the Whisperers.

Now, the good news is that The Walking Dead season 10 finale can be watched earlier than its expected return date. It has been confirmed that the long-awaited episode, titled "A Certain Doom," will premiere on Thursday, October 1, on the network's premium service, AMC+

As for its official return date on AMC itself, the series will arrive on Sunday, October 4, at 9 PM Eastern Time. It will be followed by the premiere of the spin-off The Walking Dead: World Beyond, which will also be released on Oct. 1 on AMC+.

Meanwhile, The Walking Dead season 10 finale kicks off with the Survivors still dealing with the show of power of the Whisperers. All of them are reluctantly respecting the new borders imposed. But, they won't back down as they also organize themselves as a militia for the imminent battle.

The epic showdown between the Survivors and the Whisperers will be the central theme of the upcoming episode. What's concerning here is that the latter group is now led by Beta (Ryan Hurst), who's seeking revenge after what happened to Alpha (Samantha Morton).

The war between the two groups will be bloody and intense. Beta wants revenge now that Alpha is out of the picture, and he will do whatever he can to destroy everyone. There's a lot of danger coming along the way and there could be major deaths.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, teased that the epic battle in The Walking Dead season 10 is like a full-on Game of Thrones super war battle. He noted that the battle scenes were grand on an epic scale, as well as legendary.

Also, we could see some characters returning in the episode. For instance, Lauren Cohan's Maggie is coming back to help the remaining Survivors fight against the Whisperers. Her arrival has been teased in a teaser, in which she received a letter informing her that some of her Hilltop friends were now dead.

Meanwhile, six more episodes are coming beyond The Walking Dead season 10 finale. Showrunner and executive producer Angela Kang confirmed that these episodes will be released in early 2021 and still part of the current installment. Hence, we'll be getting two different finales this time around.
