Meghan Markle vowed to be more vocal after stepping down from her senior royal role with Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex previously shared that she knows how it feels like to be voiceless, and she is choosing to be heard this time around.

But, Meghan Markle is not just making this vow for herself. The wife of Prince Harry had been urging Americans to vote in the upcoming election. American feminist, journalist, and social-political activist Gloria Steinem revealed that the Duchess of Sussex recently stepped up her efforts and “cold-calling voters.”

“The first thing we did, and why she came to see me, was we sat at the dining room table where I am right now and we cold-called voters," she said, sharing their straight-to-the-point tactic. They introduced themselves and asked the person on the other side of the line if they are voting. Gloria Steinem added that she found the Duchess of Sussex to be “smart” and “political” during their meeting.

As for Prince Harry, a royal commentator claimed that he will still “avoid politics.” The Duke of Sussex has seen the Royal Family stay out of issues surrounding it. Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the clan are expected to be neutral regarding the topic at all times. Even though they have their own beliefs and stands, the royals, most of the time, keep their opinions to themselves.

Even though Meghan Markle had to give up her celebrity status to be the wife of Prince Harry, she still maintains her capability of being comfortable with speaking to people. On top of being an actress, she was also an activist and a public speaker.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced backlash for repeatedly “lecturing” the public. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust to discuss equal rights, and the footage was released in July.

TalkRadio's host Dan Wootton wondered why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were doing a sermon about the Commonwealth when the Duke of Sussex benefitted from it growing up.

Editor of Spiked Online Brendan O'Neil called the show, where he and Dan Wootton agreed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were two very privileged individuals. They, then, said that the public has had enough of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, especially after they have decided to quit royal life and moved to the US to make a fresh start.
