Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in May 2018, and their special day had the most television viewers in the Royal Family history. Around 18 million people in the U.K. and 29 million in the U.S. watched the couple said their “I dos.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared to have known their impact before their wedding, as they wanted it to be the best that it could possibly be. However, there are certain protocols to be followed.

According to the new book Finding Freedom by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth’s Head Dresser Angela Kelly had a fallout before the Royal wedding. The Duke of Sussex reportedly set an appointment with Angela so Meghan Markle could try on the tiara that was decided for her wedding day with a styled hair, but the authors claimed that the prince felt Angela was ignoring his requests.

“As the weeks went by, and the requests from aides working for Harry continued, a time for Meghan to try the tiara had yet to be scheduled. Harry, while obviously familiar with Palace protocol, didn't believe that Angela was truly unavailable,” the book read, adding that Prince Harry thought Angela was ignoring Meghan Markle on purpose.

The authors purported that Prince Harry spoke with Queen Elizabeth about the situation, and Meghan Markle finally got her trial.

This is not the only issue regarding Meghan Markle’s tiara, according to the book. A source claimed that the Duchess of Sussex demanded to try on a piece of jewelry ahead of her wedding. Rumors then began to swirl that it was Queen Elizabeth who prohibited her.

But, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand noted that insiders have said that Queen Elizabeth played no part on the matter. Instead, Prince Harry blamed Angela Kelly, claiming that she was stalling to give Meghan Markle the access to her chosen tiara.

A tipster then spoke with Mail on Sunday, saying that Angela Kelly was not dragging her feet to help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She was trying to explain to the couple that there was a protocol that needed to be followed before having access to the Crown's jewels.

Meanwhile, out of all Queen Elizabeth’s selection of dazzlers, Meghan Markle chose Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara for her royal wedding. The Duchess of Sussex had all the freedom to borrow Princess Diana’s tiara, but she reportedly didn’t want to get the amount of attention it would have receive.
