Pablo Escobar had tons of money. And he hid some of them in walls.

It all started with a "vision" that enabled the nephew of drug kingpin – Pablo Escobar – to find a plastic bag containing $25 million tucked in the wall of one of the infamous criminal's houses.

In an interview with Colombian news reporters, Nicolas Escobar said a vision had guided him to find the location of the money in his apartment in Medellín, Colombia, reports disclosed.

It wasn't the first time that Nicolas has found money hidden in unexpected places where his uncle used to hide to evade the police, he told the local press.

Escobar, who was killed in a shootout with authorities in 1993, was reported to be the world's wealthiest man during the peak of his influence.

Word on the streets about Escobar's hidden wealth has been passed around Medellín since his demise after Escobar spent many years fighting against the government to stop it from sending him to the U.S. to face charges.

According to Nicolas, each time he sat in the dining area and looked towards the parking lot, he would see "a man entering the place and disappearing," 9News quoted him as saying. Nicolas said he had also found satellite phones, gold pen, typewriter, and a roll of film that wasn't developed, the report bared.

Escobar, widely known as the "Cocaine King," was said to have concealed millions in his numerous assets across Colombia. He amassed a net value of around $30 billion during the time of his death, which is equivalent to almost $60 billion today.

Nicolas claimed that some of the old banknotes that he uncovered have deteriorated and no longer of any value. Nicolas has been residing in his Medellin apartment for the last five years.

The cold-blooded drugs mogul founded Escobar's drug business in Colombia in the late '70s and by the '80's he was supplying 80 percent of cocaine in the United States. Based on estimates by Colombian narcotics agents, over 5,000 people died in drug-related violence involving Escobar.

Netflix created a three-season TV series that featured the life of Pablo Escobar and how he became a billionaire through the production and smuggling of cocaine – and at the cost of innocent lives.
