Xbox Boss Phil Spencer is confident that Microsoft would release more gaming systems despite the gaming industry leaning more on a cloud-based and all-digital future.

In a recent interview with Yahoo Finance, Phil Spencer confirmed that the Redmond-based tech giant is still looking into developing gaming systems in the short term. The statement came after the honcho was asked if the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S would be the last consoles from Microsoft. These concerns probably surfaced, considering that Xbox is developing a wide-ranging ecosystem for itself.

Gamers are going to see more console hardware down the road when it comes to future hardware, Spencer said. The executive mentioned that just like in music and video; streaming has not cut off device innovation. Spencer believed that Microsoft would continue to ensure this and revealed that it is absolutely what the company plans.

Things could always change in the future, but based on the executive's statement, it seems that Microsoft is not that prepared to commit to this digital future totally. At the moment, the company's innovation centers in Xbox Game Pass. It appears that the Xbox brand is no longer limited to the Series X and Series S anymore.

With this service, Xbox is developing a strategy that would enable players to enjoy Xbox titles on various devices, including mobile and desktop. The arrival of xCloud now enables gamers to play games on their PC and mobile devices, particularly Android phones. It is not impossible that consumers could soon see Xbox game Pass on their TVs in the future.

In one of his previous interviews, Spencer mentioned that the Xbox Game pass subscription service could play a crucial role in luring gamers to the console in the absence of the much-awaited Xbox Series X-exclusive "Halo Infinite" at launch. In his interview with Yahoo Finance, Spencer revealed he believes in the console hardware's future market. He claimed that there is an audience that needs a low-cost gaming device.

So far, Xbox is doing its best to grab an early advantage in the next generation gaming console war despite its lack of many premier exclusives. While the company has a shortage in this aspect, it allows Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S users to access its wider library of games.

Microsoft's next-generation gaming consoles' Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are now available for pre-order. The gaming systems are scheduled to arrive on November 10.
