Earlier reports revealed that Sony's next-generation gaming console is a chunky one, but now with several images, fans have the idea of how big the PS5 really is.

If the latest PS5 images are to go by, it looks like it is the biggest gaming console in modern industry. These images were recently shared by professional illustrator Kei Sawada showing the PS5 side by side with various TV sizes. Based on these images and the official dimensions released by Sony, gamers who have issues with space could wait for the PS5 Slim Edition.

Sawada's first illustration compares the PS5 with the Nintendo Switch and a 30-inch TV. As expected, Sony's upcoming gaming console towers above the world's smallest console. Interestingly, it matches the height of the TV, excluding the TV stand.

The second illustration shows that the PS5 is far taller than the PS4. The other illustration includes the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Microsoft's new consoles' regular shape, smaller height, and depth are more noticeable than the PS5. The disc-less console is a lot smaller compared to the PS5.

The irregular shape and the massive size of the PS5's body were always viewed as an inconvenience for users. The illustrations are not actual comparisons, but they offer a better perspective on how the console's measurements would fit the future owners' home. Aside from the illustrations, The Verge recently reported several actual images of the PS5 it found at the official website of Taiwan's National Communications Commission.

The site did not only reveal the up-close image of the gaming console but also its HDMI cable, power cable, the stand, USB cable, and the DualSense controller. The PS5's official dimension measures 15.4 in x 10.24 in x 4.09 in while the Xbox Series X is 11.85 in x 5.94 in x 5.94 in. In June, PlayStation Head of Global Marketing and Consumer Experience, Eric Lempel, mentioned that the console's design comes with many nice and surprising features. It would not sound like a jet engine, the executive said-an issue many PS4 users complained about.

Microsoft Boss Phil Spencer said that he appreciated the design of the PS5 and recognized Sony's effort to solve the console's cooling system. Sony's next-generation gaming console is set to arrive on November 12. The console is now available for pre-order across various regions of the world.
