After several long months of silence, gaming studio Bethesda finally offered a new update about the much-awaited title "The Elder Scrolls 6." The game was announced at E3 2018 alongside a trailer. The upcoming title has no release date yet, but Bethesda earlier said that it would be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Bethesda recently offered an exciting update about "The Elder Scrolls 6." According to Bethesda Game Studios Director and Executive Producer Todd Howard, its game engine has undergone a massive overhaul since "Oblivion." The result of this recent move would be seen when players get their hands on "Starfield" and "The Elder Scrolls 6," the executive said.

Howard also shared that new systems are optimized for the expansive worlds that the gaming studio loves to create. He also mentioned generational leaps in these new technologies in graphics, data streaming, and CPU. This new technology Howard is talking about its first new IP in 25 years, including the much-awaited "The Elder Scrolls 6" and "Starfield."

This fresh update about "The Elder Scrolls 6" is part of Howard's larger news after Microsoft's massive $ 7.5 billion acquisition of its mother company, ZeniMax Media. This recent move from Microsoft could hurt PlayStation, considering that Xbox now owns "The Elder Scrolls" IP. While this is not yet confirmed, the good news is Bethesda Game Studios would continue developing "TES" series and whether it is going to be a multi-platform game remains to be seen.

This applies not only to "The Elder Scrolls 6" but also to "Starfield," "Fallout," "Quake," "Dishonored," "Rage," "The Evil Within" and other previously owned Bethesda IP. Interestingly, Howard also shared that just like Bethesda's original partnership; it is about more than one screen or one system. He said that the company believes in the fundamental power of games as well as their ability to connect, bring joy, and empower.

Howard explained that Bethesda has a "belief we should bring that to everyone - regardless of who you are, where you live, or what you play on. Regardless of the screen size, the controller, or your ability to even use one." The executive's statement seems to indicate that upcoming Bethesda titles could arrive in other gaming platforms aside from Xbox. Meanwhile, the gaming studio has not yet revealed the release window of "The Elder Scrolls 6," but fans would hear more about the game after the release of "Starfield."
