Microsoft Surface Duo is a good come back for the Redmond-based tech giant after four long years since it released a mobile device. This new and expensive mobile phone was not spare by Zack Nelson. Like all other new devices in the market, the popular YouTuber rigged Microsoft's recently released device to test its durability.

On his channel JerryRigEverything, Nelson put the Microsoft Surface Duo through his popular durability test. Microsoft's hybrid phone-tablet was announced more than a month ago and went to pre-order promising mobile productivity and three years of Android upgrades. Based on Nelson's experiment, the Surface Duo came out with a surprising outcome.

Microsoft Surface Duo appears to be one of the best foldable phones available in the market today. The effort that the popular YouTuber put in the device is a little alarming as he bent it into both sides. He also heated the device with a flame, but it surprisingly came out undamaged, with the screen obviously shows signs that it expanded.

Microsoft Surface Duo was also subjected to a scratch test. Packing a Gorilla Glass 5 protection, the new foldable device from Microsoft scratched at level 6 and showed deeper grooves at level 7. Under the heat, the screen endured a white mark. As for the bend test, it bends all the way smoothly and flexes on both sides. While the screen got the white mark, it still works.

Microsoft announced that the Surface Duo features enterprise-level security, UI and a decent camera configuration. The new hybrid phone got high benchmark scores and even outperformed other flagship devices in the market. Some analysts compared the device to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.

The new Surface Duo comes with a couple of screens and a metal hinge on both sides. It comes with a plastic frame that holds the screen together. Despite the choice of plastic that Microsoft used, the device passed the durability test. It turns out it is one of the flexible phones money could buy with a price that sounds justifiable.

Microsoft Surface Duo's two high-resolution touchscreens allow users to complete complex tasks faster with less effort. The company recently released a new video of the hybrid phone-tablet to showcase the device's unique features. The Microsoft Surface Duo is now available in the US. Anyone can purchase it from Microsoft, AT&T and Best Buy stores.
