When Calls the Heart season 8 is in production at the moment. A lot of stories are coming once the series returns sometime next year on Hallmark Channel. Fans could expect some new arrivals, as well as more romance stories for Elizabeth (Erin Krakow).

In one of her recent posts on Twitter, Krakow teased what's coming to her character's complicated love life moving forward. While the actress didn't share a lot of details, she made sure that there will be romance in When Calls the Heart season 8.

The early run of the new season will continue to address Elizabeth's complicated love life. She's been involved in a love triangle between Lucas (Chris McNally) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry). Their situation has been one of the focal points of the previous installment.

Nathan was almost shot in the season 7 finale and this incident could lead to changes moving forward. Elizabeth needs to make a firm decision regarding her romantic future. Both men are great contenders for her heart and it's interesting to see where her heart really lies.

In addition to Elizabeth's complicated love life, When Calls the Heart season 8 sees the arrival of new faces in Hope Valley, the Canfield family. The family-of-four will be spending some time with other characters. They're an interesting addition to the latest installment.

The patriarch of the family is Joseph Canfield (Viv Leacock), who's trying to buy a gas station in Hope Valley. His wife, Minnie Canfield (Natasha Burnett), is a protective mother. She is willing to do whatever she can in order to protect her two kids.

Leacock's kids in real life will play the role of Joseph and Minnie's children in When Calls the Heart season 8. Vienna Leacock portrays the role of the 12-year-old girl Angela Canfield, who's visually impaired and gifted in playing the piano.

Angela is homeschooled for quite some time but will start attending Elizabeth's class later on. The biggest problem, however, is that Minnie is very protective of her daughter. She isn't sure whether or not she could trust Elizabeth with Angela's education.

The youngest member of the Canfield is the nine-year-old Copper, plays by Elias Leacock. He is one of the newest additions to the kids at the school and Elizabeth is his teacher, as well. For now, it remains to be seen whether or not the family stays in Hope Valley for a long time.

When Calls the Heart season 8 is slated to premiere in early 2021.
