The recent launch of Google Pixel 5 revealed a throng of new features including the 'Audio Zoom' and a new camera UI.

Google Pixel 5 is out and while its specs did not provide much of a surprise due to numerous leaks way before its launch, the features it unveiled are something else. The handset's processor may appear like a downgrade from the flagship territory, though Google is not after hardware performance but on functionalities that users would find very useful. Among the notable features are the 'Audio Zoom' and new camera UI.

In a hands-on video posted on YouTube by TotallyDubbed, exclusive features like the 'Audio Zoom' provided insight on Google Pixel 5's hardware. The video also showcased the new camera UI of the new flagship smartphone, which offers users more functionality and ease.

While other smartphone makers give emphasis on hardware for their cameras, Google Pixel 5 relies on its computational photography technology to capture vivid and realistic images. This technology called the 'Audio Zoom' allows users to zoom in on a particular subject and enhance its sound and minimize background noise. Combined with the new camera UI, users can easily shoot professional-grade images using this technology.

The YouTube video that talked about the 'Audio Zoom' feature and new camera UI of Google Pixel 5 does not seem to showcase the feature in action, though the images captured using the handset is enough proof of what it can do. The settings on the camera are similar to what is already on Google Pixel 4, though some buttons are darkened due to the UI shift.

TotallyDubbed made comparisons with image samples from Google Pixel 5 with its new 'Audio Zoom' feature and new camera UI and those taken with the Galaxy S10+. Looking at the samples, users would immediately see that Pixel 5 did not disappoint. The images feature richly-colored images with a superb dynamic range. The contrast is also exceptional.

In terms of video recordings, the Pixel 5 is less shaky as compared to video taken with the Galaxy S10+. Google Pixel 5 with its new 'Audio Zoom' feature and new camera UI is also able to record videos at 4K with 60 frames per second. Its mic also performed well, capturing better audio compared to last year's Samsung flagship phone. Finally, the selfie camera also shows superior results compared to previous flagship phones from Samsung.

YouTuber TotallyDubbed also played around with the 5G capabilities of Google Pixel 5 and its new 'Audio Zoom' feature with new camera UI, as well as measured the connectivity performance of the device. TotallyDubbed said the Pixel 5 performed well even with the reduced hardware specs. To get to know further Google Pixel 5 and its new features, check out the video for more details.
