Castlevania season 4 is officially happening on Netflix. The streaming platform confirmed the renewal status of the animated series back in March 2020. However, fans may need to wait for a while in order to see new batch episodes of the show.
The official release date of Castlevania season 4 remains uncertain as of this writing. The first and second season had a 15-month gap, while a 17-month gap between seasons 2 and 3. If the series follows this format, we can expect the fourth installment coming in August 2021.
A lot of things happened in the third installment, and some of these events will continue moving forward in the new season. For instance, we could further see the growing madness of Alucard. Following the defeat of his father Dracula, his loneliness started to take a hold of him.
Alucard grew closer to Taka and Sumi, the former slaves of the vampire lord Chō. However, the pair betrayed him as they assumed that the Dhampir was hiding secrets by not teaching them magic. Alucard used his magic sword to slit their throats before the two could kill him.
He, then, impaled Taka and Sumi's corpses on spikes -- just like what Dracula did in the past. Alucard doesn't easily trust strangers and isolates himself. So, the betrayal of the pair broke his heart and this event could cause him to embrace his dark side and vampire nature in Castlevania season 4.
The new season will further explore the Council of Sisters' conquest, as well. Hector is one of the major concerns here. Lenore convinced him to build an army for the Sisters to enact the plan of Carmilla, which is expanding the territory 800 miles east towards Braila.
If ever they obtain the territory, the Sisters would be well-stocked with humans for food and potential soldiers in Castlevania season 4. Lenore successfully seduced Hector and tricked him into wearing a slave-ring. He has no choice but to obey her, as well as his sisters.
The sisters could start forging a new army of night creatures now that Hector is under their control. They'll proceed with their plan of aggressive expansion east towards Braila. Yet, they could come into conflicts with Isaac and his army along the way.
Meanwhile, one of the last acts of Dracula before his death was to save his second forge master, Isaac. The latter believes it's his responsibility to fulfill his master's wishes. In Castlevania season 4, he'll likely bring the end of humanity and kill Hector for his betrayal.
