While Castlevania season 3 was officially renewed by Netflix, the exact release date of the animated series remains unknown right now. According to GameRant, Castlevania season 3 might bring back Dracula from the dead. At the end of the second season, Dracula was defeated, but the animated series created possible openings on how to bring Vlad back into life. For instance, the previous installment introduced a prominent character, Isaac -- necromancer.
The character has the ability to revive the dead. So, Isaac could play an essential role in bringing back Dracula in the new season. But, there's also another character who could bring Dracula back from the dead. Alucard killed his father, Dracula, but he was left with a conflicting emotion at the end of the second season. The ending hinted there's something more about him and could resurrect his father.
However, if Dracula will not be coming back in Castlevania season 3, the new installment might introduce a new villain. Carmilla could be the new big bad in the upcoming season, and the character will reportedly be voiced by Jaime Murray. Also, Trevor and Sypha become less safe as heroes, and they'll possibly be vulnerable and could die at any second.
As for who's returning in Castlevania season 3, Richard Armitage and Alejandra Reynoso are likely returning as voices of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, respectively. In addition, James Callis (Adrian Țepeș/Alucard), Tony Amendola (The Elder), and Matt Frewer (The Bishop) are all expected to return in the upcoming installment.
