BLACKPINK’s comebacks are always successful. Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa have been topping the charts for years, and winning multiple awards is nothing new to them.

Now, another win is added under BLACKPINK’s belt. The YG Entertainment girl group released one of their latest hits “Ice Cream,” which features Selena Gomez, last month, and it came in first place on Inkigayo for the third time.

On Oct. 4, SBS’s Inkigayo didn’t air their show due to Chuseok TV schedule changes. Chuseok or “Autumn eve” is a major harvest festival in South Korea.

Despite that, Inkigayo still released its chart ranking for the week, which showed that BLACKPINK reigned supreme with a total score of 6,267. Park Jin Young and Sunmi’s “When We Disco” took the second spot with 5,449 points, and Jessi’s “NUNU NANA” received 5,205 points, which earned her the third spot.

Aside from winning for the third time for “Ice Cream,” BLACKPINK has also scored a Triple Crown on Inkigayo. The award refers to when a song wins the top spot for three consecutive weeks on a music show. And Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa did just that.

Recently, BLACKPINK released a music video for “Lovesick Girls,” which is the title track of their first full album called THE ALBUM. As expected, the MV garnered millions of views after it was launched.

However, many were disappointed with how few the songs are on the album. BLACKPINK THE ALBUM has eight songs, with only six new ones. BLINKs have waited a long time to finally get an album packed full of songs, but it only has less than 10 tracks.

BLACKPINK THE ALBUM tracklist includes “How You Like That,” a song that already dominated the music industry three months ago, and “Ice Cream” (feat. Selena Gomez). The new songs on the album are “Pretty Savage,” “Bet You Wanna” (feat. Cardi B), “Lovesick Girls,” “Crazy Over You,” “Love To Hate Me,” and “You Never Know.”

Some fans were underwhelmed with the tracklist, but many are still very excited about it. BLACKPINK has one of the most active fandoms in the K-pop world, which helped Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa reached the superstardom status.

Even though the girls don’t have many songs and appearances since their debut as BLINKs would have wanted, BLACKPINK still managed to be considered as one of the most successful K-pop groups in recent history.
