After temporarily pausing the "League of Legends: Wild Rift" Closed Beta, Riot Games now announced that it is reopening the build and making it available to a few more regions.
On its official "League of Legends: Wild Rift" blog, Riot Games announced it is continuing the game's Regional Closed Beta in Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. It also mentioned that it is adding more players in Japan and South Korea starting October 8.
"League of Legends: Wild Rift" Regional kicks on 8 AM PHT or 1 PM PT of October 8 for Android devices. Riot Games still allows players to share content from beta, which means even if you are not in the area where the beta is available, you can still check the game from other players' perspectives. The gaming studio also addressed the regional launch and the reason behind Japan and South Korea's recent inclusion.
According to Riot Games, proximity to servers and stability are the major factors for the roll out to these new areas. These factors are available to regions that are adjacent to each other, according to the game developer. "We're going region by region for our Closed Beta to make sure we're prioritizing stability before moving to the next. Most of the regions in this test are geographically fairly close to one another, so we can focus on scale testing a smaller group of servers."
Riot Games also teased the new looks of various "League of Legends: Wild Rift" characters with new skins arriving soon. Previewed characters include Mad Scientist Ziggs and Rageborn Mundo. It is worth mentioning that players who purchased during the first round of the closed beta could get their Wild Cores refunded with an additional bonus.
