Jin attended Konkuk University and graduated with a degree in art and acting. However, his acting career swerved when BTS made its debut and garnered attention from local and international fans.
While it’s hard to imagine BTS without Jin, there are still questions about what would have happened if Mr. Worldwide Handsome pursued acting. In the final episode of In the SOOP, the “Moon” singer discussed this matter with Suga, who he called his soulmate.
Being two of the oldest members of BTS, the pair has a different bond together compared to their other members. Jin can get very playful with the maknae line and J-Hope, but he gets serious with Suga.
Jin and Suga had a heart-to-heart talk in In The Soop. The duo talked about their past life, what’s going to happen in the future, and who they hope to become.
The soulmates wondered what would they be doing if they didn’t pursue music as their career. Jin, known for his very supportive and positive energy, said that Suga would have been successful no matter what. As for Jin, Suga believes he would be an actor.
Despite his acting background, Jin sort of disagreed with Suga. “Maybe not,” he said. The “Epiphany” singer then added that his life changed when he met the BTS members. He shared that he was someone who just goes with the flow, but became motivated to do better because of his members.
Jin said that RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are so hardworking, and he watches and learns from them, making him work harder as well. “If I became an actor, I may not have been responsible because I’d be alone. I might not even have worked hard,” Jin said.
When Suga said that he feels that he doesn’t work that hard, Jin told him that if he’s lacking, the other members are there to work hard for him. The 27-year-old singer and songwriter noted that BTS has a healthy relationship because they are always there for each other.
Unlike Jin, Suga is not always optimistic, which is why he shared that Jin is one of the people that he strives to be. Of course, Mr. Worldwide Handsome cheered him on to do. Even though the “Daechwita” rapper admitted that it would be hard for him to be optimistic all the time, he promised Jin that he would try his best. (Wacth the scene here).
