Donald Trump has become a lot more active on social media following his release from the hospital on Monday. He has since posted several tweets on Twitter about various topics, including his health and his "friendship" with Boris Johnson.

On Wednesday, the U.S. President paid tribute to the British politician, according to the Daily Express. The post, which the publication deemed as "emotional" recognition, has since received over 170,000 likes.

He said that he "spoke" with the Prime Minister, tagging Johnson's account on the post. He thanked him for the "friendship" and "support" amid his recovery from the coronavirus, which he referred to as the "China Virus."

Trump added that he is "looking forward" to continuing working with him. He ended the post by calling the British PM a "great guy."

Donald Trump previously described Boris Johnson as his "very good friend." He even reportedly gave him the nickname, "Britain Trump."

The same publication recalled that the U.S. President, also, had a conversation with the United Kingdom's Prime Minister following the latter's recovery from the same virus. Back in April, he revealed in a press conference that Johnson called him after his release from the hospital in London, adding that he "sounded incredible."

Johnson contracted the coronavirus in the early weeks of the pandemic. Just like Trump, he spent three days in the hospital.

Donald Trump and Melania Trump contracted COVID-19 last week. They announced the results of their coronavirus tests on Friday, and immediately began to observe self-isolation inside the White House. While the First Lady stayed in the executive residence, the U.S. President was admitted at the Walter Reed Medical Center, where he received treatments.

The U.S. President did not reportedly suffer from severe symptoms, unlike Boris Johnson, who had assistance to his breathing at that time. Trump, however, received Regeneron Pharmaceuticals' drug, which he claims to be a "cure" more than a "therapeutic measure." He, later on, added that he was the one who suggested to take it amid his three-night stay in the hospital.

Minutes after he posted his tribute to the British Prime Minister on Twitter, Donald Trump released his five-minute video, wherein he called his COVID-19 diagnosis as a "blessing from God." He explained that, because of his virus contraction, he discovered the drug from Regeneron. He, also, assured the American public to provide it for "free."

Reports, however, noted that the Food and Drug Administration has not approved the "antibody cocktail" yet. But, hours after Trump's video message, the company filed for an emergency approval from the federal regulator.
