Gareth Bale has yet to play a game on his second stint with the Tottenham Hotspur but the winger's homecoming to North London is already touted as a big boost for Jose Mourinho's side. With Bale on board, the Spurs are closer to winning England's top-flight football, according to Jonathan Barnett, who acts as agent for the Welshman.

Barnett said his client is out to win the title. The goal is realistic as the Spurs boast of an impressive roster and the squad is under the guidance of Mourinho. Tottenham winning the trophy this season is not impossible at all, and the agent reminded how the Spurs routed Manchester United last week.

"Tottenham have got a good squad, a great coach and with Gareth's help, I'm sure they will get very close," Goal reported Barnett as saying.

The agent said it's quite evident that Bale was excited about his return to the Premier League, and the star is not hiding his emotions. The 31-year-old has been all smiles since arriving from Madrid.

Clearly, he has moved on from the uncertainty that clouded his Real Madrid career. Bale saw his relationship with Real boss soured in the past few years and as a result, the star was rarely seen playing for Los Blancos last season.

It was not a dim picture at all at the start for Bale in La Liga. Upon his arrival from Tottenham in 2013, the player exploded and romped his way to two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. Bale has been regarded as among the best footballers because of his impressive run with Real Madrid.

Barnett said his client remains one of the best in the game. He added though that Bale has nothing to prove anymore. The star went through a hard time in Madrid but that episode is now part of the past. The agent said Bale is evidently happy as he is ecstatic being with his old club and raring to win.

Barnett clarified too that Bale's loan deal with Tottenham is not all about the money. The chief concern of the Wales international is to enjoy the game again, which he knew will happen playing for the Spurs and under Mourinho.

The agent's foretelling somehow got an initial confirmation as The Daily Mail reported that Bale has just wrapped up his first training session with the Spurs.

"He appeared all smiles as he took part in collective training on Wednesday," said the publication.

Before joining his first team practice, Bale did resume his personal training last week and is expected to play his first match shortly after the international break. The star was described to be in a "positive mood" after the training that Mourinho supervised.
