The Good Doctor season 4 is currently in production in Vancouver. A lot of things happened in the previous season and it could change the course of the story moving forward. Some of the characters may decide to leave St. Bonaventure Hospital and move elsewhere.

The Good Doctor season 4 will address the huge event that transpired in the third installment. One of the doctors is not coming back after he met his tragic death, Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez). Now, there were speculations that two characters could be making their exits at some point.

The previous season left some subtle hints about the future of some characters. Dr. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) realized something after treating a teenage boy following the earthquake. He said the incident made him realize that he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Alex hinted that he'll be moving away to be with his loved ones in the next installment. Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) might be making her exit, as well. She's quietly dealing with rheumatoid arthritis and it's been affecting her wrists and hands.

Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) is discreetly treating Morgan, but her actions in the season 3 finale could mean she won't be working as a surgeon anymore. During the aftermath of the earthquake, a patient had been brought in and was close to death.

Everyone else was busy with other patients at the time, so Morgan stepped in to save his life. This would have been the right thing to do under normal circumstances. However, she just had her operation and needed to recover. Glassman warned her she may not be able to heal after helping the patient.

Now, some speculated Morgan has no choice but to give up working as a surgeon and leave the hospital in The Good Doctor season 4. But, the good thing is that series creator David Shore teased that Alex and Morgan will be sticking around in the story.

Speaking to Deadline, Shore hinted that the two won't be leaving -- at least, for the time being. He made it clear that there are changes for these characters as a result of everything that happened to them and the experiences they had. There's an emotional change for Alex, while a physical change for Morgan.

Viewers need to wait and see what the future holds for them in The Good Doctor season 4. For Morgan, there could be another role for her in the event she won't be able to work as a surgeon anymore. Alex, on the other hand, may reconsider what he really wants in his life.

The Good Doctor season 4 will be dropping its new episodes starting on Monday, Nov. 2, on ABC.
