It has been a long time since Chen blessed his fans with his amazing vocals. After all, the EXO main vocalist has been busy with his personal life after his marriage in early 2020 and the birth of his first child in April. However, Aeris are finally in for a treat as Kim Jongdae has released his new single 'Hello' with its sweet music video.
There is little doubt that 2020 has been an interesting year for Chen. The EXO main vocalist released a collaboration single with Dynamic Duo in January but this was mostly overlooked due to the announcement that Kim Jongdae was getting married. Although most EXO-Ls were delighted with the news, some also threatened to boycott Chen and make him leave the boy group. Nevertheless, the backlash died down without too much drama as Chen and his fiancee tied the knot in a private ceremony.
So much has happened since Chen's wedding and although people were happy to know that he and his wife welcomed their first daughter in April 2020, Aeries were still hoping to hear his voice again. Luckily, Kim Jongdae decided it was time to give EXO-Ls a treat by confirming a new single 'Hello' which is a sweet song that would remind everyone why he is EXO's main vocalist.
The music video for 'Hello' was released on October 15 and it features Chen singing as he walks around an empty house. It's a sweet ballad that perfectly displays Kim Jongdae's soothing vocals. Needless to say, Aeris are loving the song and are already hoping that the full solo album is in the works.
For now, only the single has been announced. However, fans are also hoping that Chen will release a new solo album soon. Unfortunately, this has not yet been confirmed although there is a possibility that SM Entertainment will make an announcement before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Although some of the members of EXO are currently inactive, Aeris can still enjoy Chen's new single 'Hello'. In addition to that, both Kai and Baekhyun are still active members of the supergroup SuperM with ShinEE's Taemin and NCT's Taeyong, Mark, Lucas, and Ten. Moreover, Sehun and Chanyeol have just finished promoting '1 Billion Views' as the subunit EXO-SC. Hopefully, there will be more music from the members of EXO in the near future.
