There is little doubt that most people love eating spicy food. However, some simply can't handle the heat. That is the case with VICTON members Seungsik and Sejun when they had to consume spicy carbonara or carbo buldak while their fellow idol Hanse appeared to be completely unbothered.
In the second episode of Sensible VICTON Life, the members took part in a hilarious cooking relay where each idol would have to take turns at the kitchen in creating a special dish. The member who gets chosen first would be assigned to decide on the menu and buy the ingredients while the rest would have to prepare the dish. Interestingly, the maknae Subin was the one who got to go grocery shopping.
Subin decided that he and his fellow VICTON members would make spicy carbonara, claiming that the dish would bring back memories for the idols. However, the maknae also admitted that he is worried about Sejun because he has never seen his hyung cooking. Interestingly, the cooking part would be the least of Lim Sejun's problems during the challenge.
Although VICTON was able to complete the cooking relay without too many problems, a recently released behind-the-scenes look at the challenge reveals that not everyone was happy with their final dish. For instance, Seungwoo claimed that there was something missing in the carbo buldak although he still stated that it was tasty. On the other hand, Seungsik and Sejun were having trouble consuming the spicy noodles.
It was immediately obvious that the carbo buldak was way too spicy for Seungsik, who couldn't stop twitching and dancing around after taking a bite. Sejun had a similar reaction, appearing to be in pain and sweating as he ate his share. Despite the reaction, fellow VICTON member Hanse seemed to be happy with the spicy carbonara as he ate peacefully beside Kang Seungsik and Lim Sejun.
It's a hilarious look at how the members of VICTON have varying taste and tolerance towards spicy food. Interestingly, Subin had some cool advice for Seungsik and Sejun as his hyungs struggled with the carbo buldak: "Have confidence in yourself."
Although Seungsik and Sejun had a hard time with the carbonara being spicy, that doesn't mean they didn't enjoy the food. At one point, Kang Seungsik stated that he enjoyed the carbo buldak but insisted it was "too spicy." Luckily, both Seungsik and Sejun were able to recover later considering that VICTON won premium beef for completing the cooking relay challenge.
