BTS held a highly-successful MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E virtual concert on Oct. 10 and 11. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were forced to complete the event without an audience in the venue.

Jungkook recently did a live streaming on YouTube, where he shared his true feelings regarding the virtual concert. The “My Time” singer expressed how happy he was to perform for the fans but admitted that it felt different not having ARMYs around.

Even though Jungkook and the rest of the BTS boys knew that their fans were watching them at the time, not seeing ARMYs in the venue left them feeling incomplete. Instead of having a great time interacting with the fans, JK said that all the members did was just to make sure they performed well.

The Golden Maknae noted that “80% to 90%” of his “driving force” comes from the “roaring sound of ARMY” and the way the fans look at them as they perform. Jungkook said that it gives him more will to do better when he sees ARMY’s facial expressions and the way they enjoy themselves during their performance.

But since there was no audience in the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E concert, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had to rely on the ambiance effects to perk them up throughout the show. Nevertheless, JK thanked ARMYs for their undying support despite the unfortunate circumstances.

Jungkook even said that his experience with ARMYs at the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E concert helped him rediscover the meaning of his life. The BTS star then thanked the fans for it.

“Should I say a sense of relief? I think it was a concert where I was able to feel those things. So my mind has become really calm and relaxed. So, thank you so much, my ARMY,” Jungkook said.

Meanwhile, Jimin couldn’t hide his sadness during the concert and burst into tears as he said his ending speech. As soon as the “Filter” singer began to speak, tears were welling up in his eyes. V comforted him and said not to cry, but RM told him to let it out.

Jimin tried to suck it up and continued with his speech. “Before we started preparing for this show, I kind of felt like things are going really unfair. Because of COVID-19… I mean, more than anything, I wanted to perform on stage with the members and share the happiness with you guys…” the BTS star said before finally bursting into tears.

RM also previously shared his dismay regarding the situation. However, the BTS leader decided to look at the bright side instead of giving in to is frustrations.
