Conspiracy theorists have long speculated that Queen Elizabeth has a body double just like U.S. First Lady Melania Trump and other leaders of the world. At 94-years-old, it might not be easy to find someone who looks and stands exactly as the monarch but a report is shedding light on Her Majesty's stand in.

According to Daily Express, Queen Elizabeth's "body double" is actually Ella Slack who has been at her job for the last three decades. Slack doesn't look like the Queen but she doesn't need to bear an actual physical resemblance.

Her job as the Queen's "body double" is more like a stand-in only when rehearsals and preparations are necessary for a royal engagement. She revealed in the documentary Great Big Story that she did stand-ins for Queen Elizabeth more than 50 times.

Slack is the first to admit that she doesn't look like Her Majesty but her height and stature make her qualified for the job. This is what event organizers and stage managers apparently need to know to figure out how the Queen would fit into the program.

The stand-in said that she started doubling for Queen Elizabeth after a BBC producer needed someone for the public Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cenotaph more than three decades ago. Slack said that the producers wanted to be prepared in case the sun would get in the Queen's eyes.

Slack was rehired for a couple more engagements, such as the Parliament state opening or when riding on the carriage to wave at people. However, the Queen's substitute was strictly prohibited from sitting on the throne during the rehearsals because that would be against the protocols.

Slack said that one rehearsal at Windsor had under the sun for hours to watch the troops march past where the Queen would stand. She also had to steady her smile for a long time during a VJ Day carriage ride practice. Slack realized that Queen Elizabeth's roles at these events are never easy.

In an interview with BBC, Slack said that she hasn't personally met Queen Elizabeth despite being quite near her during some events. She was mistaken as Her Majesty one time at the airport.

According to Hello, Slack does not accept payments for standing in for Queen Elizabeth. She said the honor to serve the monarch is always a pleasure, knowing that Her Majesty's events are seen by millions of her subjects.
