Kate Middleton is reportedly still "deeply affected" over the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. A long-time royal author believes that the Duchess of Cambridge is still upset that her husband and his brother continue to have issues.

According to Andrew Morton, Kate Middleton keeps putting on a "brave face" for the public despite her devastation over William and Harry. However, the royal biographer also noted that her loyalty is still with her husband amid claims that the Duchess of Cambridge did not do much to fix the rift.

Morton said that Kate siding with Prince William is a given but it's indeed sad that she wasn't able to form a friendship with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's wife. According to the book Finding Freedom, Kate and Meghan are hardly best friends despite being sisters-in-law.

But the biographer of Princess Diana believes that even with the sadness of the current situation, William and Harry will eventually come to terms with their feud. Morton said that the brothers are a "double act" who bring value to the monarchy. He is hopeful that the royals will get over this ordeal.

Meanwhile, Kate and Prince William continue to serve the Queen and perform their royal duties amid the pandemic. However, they've been spending a break from work in the two weeks as their two older kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are also on a break from school.

The Cambridge family briefly left London and have been staying at Anmer Hall, their home in the country, where the kids have been messing around in the kitchen. George, Charlotte and Louis baked a batch of cupcakes for charity while Kate likely took them for an afternoon of painting pots at their favorite hangout in King's Lynn.

But over the weekend, Kate and Prince William reportedly took their children to the Isles of Scilly for another staycation. According to Daily Mail, this is the second trip for the Cambridges to the islands near Cornwall this year.

Witnesses said that they didn't notice the Cambridges right away since they looked like any normal family on a vacation. They also stayed at a modest four-bedroom house.

But Kate Middleton and Prince William will definitely back in London in the first week of November to resume their royal roles. The royal family is expected to be at the scaled-down Remembrance Sunday service. Prince William will lay down wreaths at the Cenotaph with Prince Charles.
