Queen Elizabeth is reportedly planning to remove the "prince" in Prince Harry's title once the Duke and Duchess of Sussex complete their probationary period. An insider claimed that the monarch will no longer let Harry use his birth title because she is allegedly "furious" at her grandchildren for going against their Megxit terms.

Daily Express reported that a well-placed insider spoke with Life & Style's printed magazine about Queen Elizabeth's plan. Apparently, Her Majesty is so disappointed about how Harry profited financially from his title.

The source revealed that Prince Harry has been "pushing his grandmother's buttons" since he moved to the U.S. with Meghan Markle. The monarch became livid after the couple closed a multi-million deal with the streaming platform Netflix, as well as secured a contract for speaking engagements with the Harry Walker Agency.

Apparently, Harry has been using his title as a "cash cow" to get ahead. The source explained that the Sussex pair won't achieve what they have today if they were commoners.

However, Prince Harry cannot lose the title "prince" because it is his birthright. Royal expert Robert Jobson said that he is the second son of Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, and thus will always carry the title. In the same manner, Prince Harry and Meghan may also continue to use the Duke and Duchess of Sussex title because it is a gift from Queen Elizabeth when they got married in 2018.

This matter was the subject of debate in the past. Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu said on Twitter that Harry cannot be stripped off as "prince" since he is a blood royal. He is also still the sixth in line to the British throne after his nephews and niece -- George, Charlotte and Louis.

The only title Harry hasn't used since he stepped back from his royal roles is His Royal Highness or HRH. Thus, his official royal name remains Harry, the Duke of Sussex. It is styled similarly if he were still a working royal.

Prince Harry and Meghan are due to have their current arrangement with Queen Elizabeth reviewed in March 2021, or one year after they stepped back from their royal roles. This means a new deal will have to be decided as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex finalize their life away from the royals.

Harry and Meghan will likely finally launch their new charity, Archewell, in the United States. The foundation's website has been set up but its contents have not been revealed to the public.
