TWICE's Chaeyoung is rumored to be dating a tattoo artist, but fans are not fully supportive of her choice for a boyfriend.
According to a report by Koreaboo, Chaeyoung and her rumored boyfriend got caught up in dating news after fans found "evidence" of their relationship on the guy's Instagram page.
A foreign fan who follows tattoo artist Chimhwasa'a account pointed out the model in his artworks was a woman with a mole on the left side of her chin like Chaeyoung. The fan also pointed out that Chimhwasa and Chaeyoung were sporting similar rings on their left fingers. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that Chaeyoung's brother was also following the artist on social media.
Apart from the clues found on the artist's account, some photos surfaced that showed a couple shopping for groceries. Fans said that the hat that the woman was wearing looked very much like Chaeyoung's favorite hat, which she wore during a Radio Star guest appearance. The woman reportedly had the same color of hair as Chaeyoung.
According to a report by Kpopstarz, fans are not against Chaeyoung dating. However, her choice for a boyfriend is being scrutinized by some netizens.
Based on the report, netizens are questioning Chimhwasa's character after seeing obscene drawings on his social media account. The tattoo artist also reportedly cursed out fans who were sending him direct messages and asking about his relationship with Chaeyoung. The tattoo artist allegedly threatened to release drunk photos of Chaeyoung if netizens don't stop bothering him.
Fans warned Chaeyoung that she should be careful about the type of man she will date because this will reflect on her reputation as an idol. Chimhwasa reportedly deactivated his Instagram after the controversy.
JYP has reponded briefly to the rumors and said that they had no statement on their artist's personal life.
This is not the first time that TWICE members have been caught in dating rumors.
It can be recalled that TWICE Jihyo confirmed that she was dating Kang Daniel last year. Both Kang Daniel's KONNECT Entertainment and TWICE's agency JYP Entertainment confirmed the dating news after the two idols were photographed by Dispatch on a date in Seoul. The pair reportedly started dating at the beginning of 2019, Soompi reported.
At the start of 2020, TWICE's Momo also confirmed her relationship with Super Junior's Kim Heechul after months of speculation from the press. While JYP and Label SJ confirmed the dating news, the statements did not elaborate when the pair started their relationship.
