Conor McGregor has so far amassed a net worth of £100 million and by his estimates, that fortune will multiply 10 times in three years' time. According to the Irishman, by the time he is 35 years old, he will be part of the sports world's billionaire circle.

If the calculation is correct, McGregor will soon join the club of sportsmen whose ticket is the billions they earned in their respective fields. The Notorious will be listed with the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and his former nemesis Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Recall that McGregor's boxing match with Mayweather in 2017 allowed him to collect a paycheck of £80 million for the day, and the UFC superstar's luck only got better from there.

Talk Sport reported that in his recent Twitter Q&A session, the two-division champion claimed he is just three years away from the billion mark. McGregor, who is 32 now, said he will be a billionaire at 35, and reaching that stage is not exactly impossible.

Big fights are lined up for the MMA artist and in 2021, he has scheduled fight dates with Dustin Poirier in a UFC showdown. And in the same year, McGregor will return to the boxing ring for a money-spinner with Manny Pacquiao.

Also, the possibility remains that the Irishman will have another go with Mayweather but that rematch is still a big question mark. Or McGregor could opt to pick a fight second fight with the recently retired Khabib Nurmagomedov.

If the latter slugfest will come into fruition, then it will certainly be another windfall for the MMA superstar as the thought of Nurmagomedov cutting short his retirement for a fight day with McGregor is sure to generate excitement in the UFC world.

But to be clear, fighting and bruising are not the big money-makers for McGregor although The Sun is definitive on one thing - that The Notorious may not be the best fighter the UFC has seen but he is the highest-paid warrior in the octagon.

The biggest source of income though for McGregor is his Proper 12 Irish Whiskey that the fight started in 2018. That business earned him a whopping £750 million in just 12 months and the growth prospects are above the optimum levels.

McGregor is projecting that his whisky brand will be the top player soon, which likely will be the accelerating factor in his road to the first billion.

In addition, McGregor's endorsement deals are padding up his wealth. Brands like Burger King, Beats by Dre, Monster Energy, and Reebok are banking on the fighter's high-profile name to increase their commercial visibility. And in return, they pay good money that only makes McGregor richer.
