WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Peaky Blinders season 5 finale. Read at your own risk.

Peaky Blinders season 6 will continue to address some of the events that happened in the fifth installment. For instance, we've seen Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson) and Linda Shelby's (Kate Phillips) marriage on the rocks after the latter attempted to kill her husband.

Arthur struggled with his mental health and he's been dealing with PTSD. His violent outburst, however, has hugely affected Linda which leads her in doing something unexpected. Their marriage is now in jeopardy, but is there a change for them to reconcile in Peaky Blinders season 6?

Back in season 5, Linda became more distant from Arthur and even wanted to divorce him. She began talking to a widower about his experiences, but her husband found out that she's talking to another man. He slashed the widower's face, leaving his wife horrified.

Linda, then, pulled out a gun and pointed it at Arthur as she was disgusted by her husband's action. When she was about to pull the trigger, Aunt Polly (Helen McCrory) showed up to rescue him. She shot Linda, though her wound was treated with Tommy's (Cillian Murphy) help.

When asked her why she did that, Linda explained killing Arthur would have been an act of "kindness." It was initially believed that this is the end for Phillips' character, as she was seen driving away while her husband watched her from afar. Now, the chance could, possibly, return in Peaky Blinders season 6?

Speaking to Digital Spy, Phillips said she got one script before though she wasn't sure what's going to happen next. While she revealed she won't be out of the picture, she noted that "anyone could go" in the series. The actress added that she won't be surprised if Linda will be killed off at some point.

But, since she's coming back in Peaky Blinders season 6, there is a huge possibility that Linda will reunite with Arthur despite the attempted murder. Phillips also hinted that this will happen, noting that the two have a lot of "unfinished business."

Linda and Arthur share a child together and there's no way the latter would let his wife get away from him just like that. Their family connection tied them together, making it even harder to escape. The biggest question now is: How will she come back after trying to kill her husband?

Meanwhile, Peaky Blinders season 6 has no official release date at the moment. The series hasn't even started production until now and it's unlikely that new episodes will be dropped early next year. Perhaps, we could expect it to arrive at either end of 2021 or early 2022.
