Georgina Bloomberg came into Ivanka Trump's defense earlier this week. The two women, reportedly, share a tight friendship since their early 20s.

The daughter of the former New York City mayor, Mike Bloomberg, discussed her ties with the First Daughter with the Daily Beast, according to the Daily Mail. She described her as a "smart person," adding that she is "wonderful," as well.

The 37-year-old best friend had nothing but praises for Ivanka. She even noted that Trump is a "supportive" and a "good daughter" to the U.S. President.

Bloomberg, then, shared her views about herself and Ivanka being the daughters of politicians. Contrary to the public's reception, she and her best friend do not have the same beliefs as their fathers. She pointed out that she is her "own person," much like the First Daughter.

Criticisms and mockeries have already become usual for Ivanka Trump. But, Georgina Bloomberg argued that she "does not deserve" any of it. Nevertheless, she applauded her best friend for handling herself "wonderfully" since her arrival inside the White House.

The professional equestrian, later on, admitted that she has not seen the First Daughter since she joined Donald Trump's administration. But, she believes that the distance between them has helped them both in avoiding "awkward" encounters.

Ivanka Trump may have maintained her friendship with Georgina Bloomberg. But, the case is different from her ties to Chelsea Clinton.

The First Daughter and the former First Lady's only child used to share a close bond. Their friendship even became a talk of the town amid the battle between Trump and Clinton in 2016.

However, things have since changed, as Clinton previously stated. In her interview with Andy Cohen earlier in October, she shared why she ended her ties with Ivanka, according to Insider.

Speaking to Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the American author revealed that she has "no interest" in staying friends with people who are "complicit," as well as those who are "taking part" in Trump's administration, which she described as cruel and incompetent. She continued that Ivanka may be different from Donald Trump but her former friend is "more than complicit."

Ivanka Trump's friendship with Chelsea Clinton may have ended. But, hers with Wendi Deng Murdoch, aside from Georgina Bloomberg, did not.

Bustle previously released a profile of the First Daughter's "likely" best friend, adding that their ties go beyond the two women. As reported, Donald Trump shares a good friendship with Murdoch's ex-husband, Rupert Murdoch.

Reports, also, added that the 49-year-old businesswoman was responsible for Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's reunion after their brief split due to religious differences in 2008. She allegedly invited the pair to a yacht party in secret, hoping that they would get back together after.
