True Beauty cast members are making fans even more excited about the drama's premiere on December 9.

According to a report by Soompi, Moon Ga Young, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, and Hwang In Yeop lead the cast for the live-action drama adaptation of the popular webtoon.

Moon Ga Young landed the part of Lim Ju Gyeong, an average looking high school girl who uses her make up skills to hide her true looks. Cha Eun Woo was tapped to play the role of Lee Su Ho, her old classmate who knows what she looks like without the makeup.

Hwang In Yeop plays the wild and handsome rebel Han Seo Joon who falls for Ju Gyeong. Park Yoo Na portrays the role of Kang Su Jin, one of the most popular girls in high school because of her beautiful appearance.

There is great interest in tvN's drama adaptation of True Beauty because the source material has a loyal fanbase.

According to the cast members, they liked playing their roles because they had similarities to their characters. However, they still had to prepare a lot to embody their roles well.

Moon Ga Young said that her bare face looks a lot like Ju Gyeong so she relates a lot to the character. As for the lead male actors, Cha Eun Woo said that he tried to learn jiu-jitsu for the role of Su Ho. Because his character is an ace at school, Eun Woo said that he practiced basketball a lot. Luckily, he had plenty of practice from his stint on Handsome Tigers.

Hwang In Yeop also had to play the role of someone who did everything well. He confessed that to do justice to his role, he had to practice singing a lot. He also had to ride a motorcycle and use his body well.

While filming, the cast seemed to develop a close friendship which became evident in their banter during the behind the scenes clip.

It can be recalled that before announcing the final cast, BLACKPINK's Jisoo was heavily being pushed for the lead role in True Beauty, Kpopmap reported. Unfortunately, the filming had to commence at around the same time BLACKPINK was promoting their first full album.

While her casting for True Beauty did not push through, Jisoo landed her first major drama role for Snowdrop, where she will play the role of a university student who falls in love with a spy who escapes a North Korean prison, played by Jung Hae In, SCMP reported.
