The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 now has an official release date after the COVID-19 pandemic delays its coming. The much-awaited season will officially bear the title The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment, teasing what is about to come.
The anime series' fourth season just ended in March, but fans are now demanding to see The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5. Viewers celebrated the news that the fifth installment is about to be out this October, but the COVID-19 pandemic affected not just its release but also its development.
In the new season's official synopsis, as noted by Devdiscourse, Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, Dianne, Van, King, Gowther, Merlin, and Escanor will be standing against the flames and a strong opponent. The anime's visual also teases the fan-favorite heroes will be facing their own destinies.
Fans are about to see something new in the fifth season's plot. After Meliodas revealed his true demonic form in the previous season finale, it would have major consequences that would be seen in the next arc.
According to Monsters & Critics, The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 could have been called The Seven Deadly Sins: New Holy War, based on how Season 4 ended. Anyhow, it looks like The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment has a deeper meaning.
After the members scattered in the past seasons, they are about to reunite and face the demons. Meanwhile, fans now have a reason to celebrate as the next installment left room for the making of The Seven Deadly Sins Season 6.
Studio DEEN will return, along with all of Imperial Wrath of Gods' staff, to work on the new season. It also now has a revised release date, which will fall in January 2021 in Japan, per What's on Netflix.
However, it remains to be seen when The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 will hit Netflix after it made the fourth season available to stream all over the world. By the looks of it, the new season's release on the streaming giant will be delayed by several months after it hits the Japanese small screens.
There are assumptions it will be out on Netflix in Winter 2021/2022, although fans shall only take this presumption with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially announced yet.
