AMC is bringing The Walking Dead spin-off series as the flagship post-apocalyptic drama is coming to an end. In fact, a spin-off featuring Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) is in the plan already. But, will other characters have their own story, including Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)?

At the moment, nothing is confirmed if there would be The Walking Dead spin-off series focusing on Negan's story. Yet, Morgan hasn't ruled out the possibility of it happening in the future. The character has gone through a lot and his evolution proved to be interesting.

Initially, Negan was one of the Big Bads in the flagship show. He made his presence known by killing Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz). He was an antagonist, but the bat-wielding leader thinks he's a "savior" rather than someone evil.

Eventually, the character became somehow different from the comics. Negan goes through some sort of redemption. He was the one who infiltrated the Whisperers and kill Alpha (Samantha Morton) and also played a part in ending the war against the notorious group.

Now, a lot of fans want to know more about the origin of Negan's story, with some wondering whether there'll The Walking Dead spin-off dedicated for him. There is no official plan as of this writing, but Morgan teased the likelihood of the project happening down the road.

When one fan asked on Twitter if The Walking Dead spin-off featuring Negan is possible, Morgan noted that there isn't a confirmed plan. However, the actor teased that "no doors are closed," suggesting that the plan may happen at some point.

Morgan added that Negan is a great character and he still has a lot of stories to tell. But then, he made it clear that there still too much work to do in the flagship show. The main series is set to air the six bonus episodes for season 10 before dropping the final installment.

For now, fans have to wait and see whether AMC will, indeed, bring a new series focusing on Negan. It's would be interesting to see how the character's story could look like, especially since he wasn't present in the final arc of the comics.

While the plan for The Walking Dead spin-off featuring Negan is uncertain, one thing is for sure, more interesting stories are coming for the character in the main series. Morgan's wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan, was added to the cast and she'll be playing the role of Lucille, Negan's wife.
