Juventus made clear that for the remainder of his contract, Cristiano Ronaldo will still wear the No. 7 shirt of the Serie A giants. The Italian club issued the clarification amid the speculations that the Portuguese superstar will switch sides at the end of the season.

Rumors run wild that Juventus could offload the Portugal captain when the season's campaign comes to an end. It was said that the COVID-19 pandemic caused serious financial pressure on the Turin club, and to generate cash, the selling of Ronaldo emerged as an option.

The move is thought to be motivated by the Italians wanting to cash in on Ronaldo and clearing their books off the expensive star at the same time. It is estimated that the 35-year-old collects a weekly salary of £550,000 from Juventus.

However, Fabio Paratici, the Old Lady's sporting director, has brushed aside the talks that his side is planning to get rid of Ronaldo for any of the suggested reasons. For Juventus, the plan is to keep the superstar until the end of his contract in 2022.

"His future is with us, I can assure you ... There are transfer rumors every day and players that are linked with different clubs but we don't pay much attention to that," Mirror reported the club executive as saying.

Paratici made the comments as stories swirled that the present term's end, Ronaldo could head to the exit door and his options could bring him to Ligue 1 or lead him back to La Liga.

The likelihood of Ronaldo signing with Paris Saint-Germain relates to the talks of the French club possibly losing key players such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. If these superstars will end up transferring next summer and PSG agreeing to deals, the team will have the cash to fund the agreement that will bring Ronaldo to France.

But Ronaldo returning to Real Madrid seemed more plausible if not more exciting. As noted by Football Espana, the striker has all the reasons to consider a second engagement with Los Blancos and chief of them is the fact his star shone even brighter with the La Liga giants.

In Spain, Ronaldo won too many domestic titles but most notably, he powered the Spaniards into conquering the Champions League four times during his stay on nine seasons. Also in the same stretch, the star brought home four of his five Ballon d'Or trophies representing Real.

The Portuguese appeared in a total of 438 games for Real and scored 450 goals, likely convincing him that playing again for Los Blancos in the final years of his career will make for a better legacy.

Paratici though is not seeing Ronaldo making the jump to any club in 2021 or even the following year as the executive insisted that circulating stories, the star still has a future at Juventus.
