SWAT season 4 episode 4 is arriving this week on CBS, with the title "Memento Mori." The upcoming episode picks up where the previous one left off, particularly with Hondo (Shemar Moore) and Leroy (Michael Beach). The situation goes a bit complicated now that the latter was released from jail.

Viewers will see Leroy, Darryl's father (Deshae Frost), finally out of prison in SWAT season 4 episode 4. While there could be peace or understanding considering his history with Hondo, the former battles against his own demon. His struggles will be a huge part of his storyline moving forward.

Hondo and Leroy were childhood friends, and viewers saw their history play out in episode 3, titled "The Black Hand Man." The latter requested his friend to testify on his behalf at his parole hearing. It's clear that things went well at the hearing since he is now a free man.

However, Darryl is caught in the middle of all of this in SWAT season 4 episode 4. Hondo is concerned that if Leroy goes out, his friend's son's life will completely change. Darryl likes living with Hondo, but his life could turn upside down now that his father is out of jail.

Although Hondo and Leroy were good friends, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be at peace. Based on the synopsis, tension mounts between the two after the latter is released from prison early. The situation will further heat up, with Darryl in the middle of everything that's going on.

As for what else is coming in SWAT season 4 episode 4, the team will be searching for one of the extremist group members. This person is orchestrating a plan and wants to attack the memorial service of a famous musician, who's not afraid to speak about police brutality.

The series features personal stories and struggles of characters, but it never forgets to bring topical issues surrounding the policing world. The show has already delivered many scenes reflecting real-life events, and police brutality is just one of them.

In last week's episode, the team tracks down a mob informant who's on the run from the crime family he's meant to testify against. It was revealed that the witness's life is in danger. The good thing is that the team could catch the Venuti family, and the mob informant willingly testified against them.

SWAT season 4 episode 4 airs on Wednesday, Nov. 24, on CBS.
