Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 9, titled "Small Fry and Reverse Retribution," will begin with a new arc, Vs. Mahito. Yuji Itadori and Kento Nanami will start the latest episode with the investigation of the tragic Kinema Cinema killings.
The title's official website released Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 9's official stills and synopsis, teasing the new characters' coming. Here, fans are about to meet Nanami, a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer and a Jujutsu High alumni, and Junpei Yoshino, a high school student from Satozakura High School.
The synopsis revealed Yoshino is the primary witness of the brutal crime that happened inside the theatre. A man named Mahito murdered three moviegoers, so he braved to run after him and called him out.
As Mahito is a cursed spirit, he is surprised that Yoshino can see him. Itadori and Nanami will then arrive at the crime scene.
They are about to investigate the gruesome nature of the killings, believing supernatural beings have something to do with it. There are theories the two are about to see two spirits inside the theatre, International Business Times noted. So, who is the other one aside from Mahito?

In addition, in the small preview dropped at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 7, it teased the continuation of a more intense fight. According to Epic Dope, Yuuji and Nanami might have a heated encounter with Mahito after it was revealed Nanami was trying to dodge some attacks.
It also showed a cynical view of Mahito, smiling frantically with a spine chilling red filter that highlighted his gory features.
In the previous episode, Kyoto and Maki eyed Yuji, while the latter had no idea what to do with Megumi and Nabara. Maki believed Kyoto would be harmless in broad daylight, and Panda felt Toudou and Mai would arrive, per Otakukart News.
Indeed, Toudou and Mai arrived to tell Nabara and Megumi that Yuji was dead. Megumi seemed to be surprised, so she wanted Mai to explain what she said, to which the latter revealed Yuji was a "half-cursed monster."
Toudou then admitted they met them to ask if they could take Okkotsu's place. He then targeted Megumi, asking about his kind of woman. As he revealed he hated boring men, he threatened to kill him if he didn't like his answer.
Megumi didn't want to start a fight, so he told Toudou he liked a woman with an "unshakable character." However, Toudou still found his answer boring that ignited a huge fight. Thanks to Panda, he just punched Toudou away without a sweat.
Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 9, "Small Fry and Reverse Retribution," is set to be out on Friday, November 27, for premium users or Friday, December 4, for free users on Crunchyroll.
