SEAL Team season 4 kicks off with a two-hour premiere next week on CBS. David Boreanaz's Jason Hayes is back in action following a hiatus earlier this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Now, the Bravo Team returns to deliver new and more interesting missions.

Jason is at the front and center entering SEAL Team season 4. In the first part, titled "God of War," the Bravo Team is going on a mission in the Spin Ghar Mountain Range. They will try to capture Al-Hazred, a leader of the terrorist group.

What makes Al-Hazred more dangerous is that he's also the son of a terrorist leader, whom Jason took down during his early days in the service and made him a Bravo One. This mission puts everyone's life in danger, particularly the Bravo Team leader and their canine Cerberus.

Based on the premiere trailer of SEAL Team season 4, the team went on the mountain, but an explosion occurred along the way, which leads to Jason and Cerberus being separated from everyone. As seen in the clip, Boreanaz's character is injured and not in good condition.

But while Jason and Cerberus may encounter some challenges, the two will survive and be with everyone again later on. In the second part, titled "Forever War," the Bravo Team leader and the canine reunite with the team, and they'll continue with their mission to track down the terrorist leader.

They'll go underground in order to find body-trapped tunnels for Al-Hazred. It remains to be seen what's waiting for the team on the other end, but it's apparent that this is a dangerous mission. Their lives are at risk, and viewers should be prepared for a lot of action-packed scenes.

Following the two-part premiere, SEAL Team season 4 will go on its usual schedule in releasing one episode a week. The title of episode 3 is "The New Normal," which is seemingly a reference to the current global health crisis. However, the story may not be entirely related to that.

According to the synopsis, the Bravo Team tries to adjust to a new team dynamic after some members make life-altering career decisions. Although nothing is officially confirmed at the moment, there are rumors that Jessica Paré's Mandy Ellis won't be a series regular in the fourth installment.

This news first emerged after fans noticed that Paré was no longer listed as a series regular but a guest star, instead. The actress's potential exit is surprising to many, considering what happened to Mandy and Jason in the season 3 finale. For now, fans have to wait and see what the future holds for the character.

SEAL Team season 4 airs on Wednesday, Dec. 2, on CBS.
