Money Heist season 5 will be the final installment of the Spanish heist crime drama. There have been a lot of theories on how the story will end. Some speculated that The Professor (Alvaro Morte) would sacrifice himself to save Tokyo (Ursula Corbero).
A certain theory from fans suggests that The Professor may end up meeting his tragic end in Money Heist season 5. Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) could locate his hideout at the end of the fourth installment. His fate is in question, though many believe he'll survive his current situation.
Fans think that The Professor will live as the series is planning to make a bigger storyline for him -- which is sacrificing himself, particularly to save Tokyo. The latter has always referred to him as her "guardian angel," with some speculating there could be a deeper meaning behind this.
Since the beginning, Tokyo has been narrating the story, leading fans into believing that he's the only surviving member of the gang. In a post via Reddit, one fan explained why Tokyo is the narrator. The story may not be set in the present, and she's possibly just recounting the story.
The fan suspected that Tokyo called The Professor her guardian angel because he made the ultimate sacrifice in order for her to live in Money Heist season 5. The series may not be concluding on a lighter note after the series creator Alex Pina hinted that there wouldn't be a happy ending for the gang.
Back in July, Pina said that they'd spent almost a year trying to figure out how to destroy the band, including putting The Professor on the ropes and getting into an irreversible situation for most of the characters. Then, he teased that the result is the Money Heist season 5.
While the official release date remains unknown, the final installment is expected to premiere in 2021. Production kicked off in August 2020 and fans have been getting a lot of on-set pictures. The images confirmed that Pedro Alonso would be reprising his role as Berlin.
Corberó also shared a photo of her on Instagram Story confirming her first day on set, while Morte posted a picture of The Professor's clothes with a huge amount of blood on it. This further suggests that his story in Money Heist season 5 will be an intense one.
