UFC president Dana White is not sanctioning a mega-fight that would allow Conor McGregor to meet YouTube star Jake Paul in the boxing ring. White said it's quite possible that the exhibition bout will happen in the future but he will not take part in such an undertaking.

Paul recently fought against former NBA star Nate Robinson and scored a knockout win. The emboldened newbie boxer registered his second professional win and is aiming at McGregor for a future clash on the boxing ring.

The celebrity blogger insisted he is not only a good match versus the Irishman, he is fully capable of conquering McGregor.

However, White is not a fan of new fighters crossing over to face off with some of the established ring and octagon warriors. The UFC chief maintained he cannot imagine McGregor picking up a fight with a kid, insisting there is zero chance it will happen.

"[Conor McGregor] is one of the greatest fighters on Earth right now. He shouldn't be fighting kids that have ... YouTube videos," White told TMZ Sports in an interview.

The UFC chief made the comments following the confirmed boxing bout that will see Floyd Mayweather Jr. taking a brief break from his retirement to fight against Logan Paul, who is Jake's brother, on February 20, 2021. White has indicated he cannot support such exhibition matches.

White explained that while he is happy to see the Paul siblings having a go in the fighting arena, the two are just not cut out for a slugfest that would bring them against a McGregor or a Mayweather. He stressed that the Pauls are not at the same level as the fighter champions, whom White characterized as from a different planet.

White, however, acknowledged that a market now exists for celebrity showdowns, which is the reason for the recent exhibition that saw Mike Tyson proving he can still box against Roy Jones Jr., and that will be followed by the Mayweather vs. Paul next year.

Yet seeing McGregor on similar showdowns would be premature. It is not the ideal route for The Notorious considering he remains capable of fighting professionally and even winning titles. White suggested timing is the key for McGregor to cash in on such matchups.

"There will be a day when Conor McGregor could do these types of fights and make a bunch of money," White said and per Bleacher Report.

Yet the UFC chief reminded it is not something that will interest him. What White is keen on focusing on is the UFC 257 on January 23 next year. The event is nothing close to an exhibition and it will see McGregor clashing again with Dustin Poirier.
