Different theories and predictions are now surrounding Attack on Titan Chapter 136, involving Eren, Zeke, Armin, and more. As everyone is in danger amid the war, what will be these fan-favorite characters' future?
Eren and Zeke were not seen in the previous chapter, so there were strong assumptions they would finally appear in Attack on Titan Chapter 136. There are also talks about Armin and his possible transformation after being captured by a Titan shifter.
A Titan took Armin away and held him as a hostage in a "dream-like state" by Ymir, so Pieck has to do everything to bring the Warhammer Titan down to escape. There are theories the alliance will be rescuing Armin and Pieck, although that remains to be seen.
Anyhow, if this happens, one of them has to sacrifice his/her life to save others, BlockToro noted. Who will it be?
In Attack on Titan Chapter 136, the alliance has to reach Fort Salta on Falco's back so that they can plan for a counter-attack. They have to escape, knowing they are not in the best shape to fight.
Levi has a leg injury and unable to go into a battle. However, there are assumptions he will perform a suicide mission and blow Eren's neck to keep his promise.
In addition, there are also speculations that Armin still has the chance to transform into a Colossal Titan, thanks to Annie. According to EconoTimes, some panels in Chapters 131, 132, and 133 showed Annie not wearing her ring to help her hurt herself and activate her being a Female Titan.
Annie and Armin talked in Chapter 132 before the latter joined the Survey Corps and Marleyan Warriors. From here, Annie might have given Armin her ring, so he still had the chance to transform into a Colossal Titan even though Ymir restrained his mouth.
It may be quite early to predict what may happen in Attack on Titan Chapter 136. However, it is also possible that the new installment will give a glimpse of Eren, Zeke, and Ymir's mental state, seeing they find it hard to control themselves.
The new installment is set to be out on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at midnight, Japan Standard Time, per Devdiscourse. It can be seen on VIZ media, MangaPlus, and Shonen Jump's official websites and platforms. On the other hand, its raw scans are expected to drop two to three days before the official release date.
