Blue Bloods season 11 episode 3 is coming this weekend on CBS. This will be the final episode for 2020, and the police procedural drama goes on a break after this one. A lot of problems are coming for each member of the Reagan family in "Atonement."

In Blue Bloods season 11 episode 3, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is struggling after Joe Hill's (Will Hochman) lineage as a Reagan has been revealed. Now that the secret is out, this could cause certain problems in the family and other people within the department.

In the second episode, Joe saved a young girl while he's off-duty. Because of his heroic act, he became a "poster boy" for the New York Police Department. However, Frank wasn't delighted by this -- as well as Joe's mom, Paula Hill (Bonnie Sommerville).

Both Frank and Paula don't want the secret to coming out. Joe's father, Joe Sr., died even before the series' story began, and Reagan found out he has a son in season 10. All of them want to keep this matter private. But, a journalist started digging and found Joe's Joe's birth certificate, confirming he's a Reagan.

Beyond this storyline, Blue Bloods season 11 episode 3 will also bring a huge story for Jamie Reagan (Will Estes). It looks like he's under investigation, something that Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) questions. He said that his brother is a "saint," so why would someone do this to him?

Perhaps, some people out want to bring him down within the force secretly. This could taint his reputation, especially since there is a possibility of him being promoted at some point. But, for now, it's yet to be seen whether or not he's, indeed, being investigated.

Meanwhile, the good news is that someone is coming back at the dinner table in Blue Bloods season 11 episode 3. Based on some preview photos, Sami Gayle is returning as Nicky Reagan-Boyle. She hasn't been seen in the series since it premiered, so many were delighted to have her back.

Tony Terraciano is making a return as Jack Reagan, as well. It can be recalled that he went off to school. That's why he's often absent at the dinner table. Even though the family faces new problems, this is still a celebration for them given that this is the last episode of this calendar year.

Blue Bloods season 11 episode 3 airs on Friday, Dec. 18, on CBS.
