The owner of an iPhone 6s thought he already lost his smartphone when strong winds knocked it off his hands and fell out of the plane, but surprisingly, the phone survived.

Dropping your mobile phone from a height of only three feet is already enough to cause your heart to skip a beat. How about if you drop your iPhone 6s from 2,000 feet above the ground, would you still expect it to be okay? This is what exactly happened to Ernesto Galiotto, a Brazilian documentary video creator, who dropped his iPhone from the small aircraft he was riding on, which was flying approximately 2,000 feet high up in the sky. However, what surprised Galiotto more is that his telephone survived and its camera recorded everything from the moment it fell out of the plane.

According to a news report, the plane carrying Galiotto was flying over a seaside located in Cabo Frio in Rio de Janeiro and taking photos and videos for one of his many documentary initiatives. He was holding the iPhone 6s with only one hand to capture some videos and photos through the small window of the aircraft when a sudden gust of wind knocked it off his hands. The documentary video creator resigned to the fact that his smartphone was already lost, presumably broken to pieces when it hit the ground, unaware that his iPhone 6s which fell out of the plane 2,000 feet high up in the sky, survived the ordeal and even had a record of the entire incident.

When the filmmaker's plane landed, he tried to check Discover My app to see if he can still see the phone's location somewhere, though he did admit he did not have any much hope for that. Surprisingly, however, he saw that his iPhone 6s continued to broadcast its location and is positioned somewhere near the seaside. Galiotto immediately went to the location and after searching for some time, he found that his iPhone 6s survived and is resting on the ground practically intact after falling from an airplane 2,000 feet up in the sky.

"I had a religion that I'd recuperate it. I believed. If it didn't fall within the water, we'll discover it. For just a few meters I might have hit an individual and, at that top, I used to be flying, 2,000 toes, it was going to be a tragedy, are you able to think about it? Nevertheless, it wasn't a tragedy, it had many feelings," Galiotto said. His iPhone 6s sustained only a few scratches after falling out of a plane 2,000 feet above the ground. The surprising thing is that it actually survived the fall, which at that height, is enough to break the phone into hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces. The filmmaker revealed that his smartphone is protected by a silicone case and had a display screen protector. "It's one thing that, should you inform somebody, they may consider," the documentary video creator noted.

For those who doubt about Galiotto's iPhone falling out of the plane and hitting the ground from a height of 2,000 feet, but yet still survived, the filmmaker uploaded the video for everyone to see. In the video, you will see the phone continuously recording as it began its rapid descent.
