The Golden Holiday was chosen as the worst Korean movie in 2020 by the Raspberry Film Festival, Korea's version of Hollywood's Golden Raspberry Awards or Razzies.

To come up with this year's list of winners, 25 film reporters voted on the worst films released from December 1, 2019, to November 30, 2020. The reporters were asked to vote for three categories including Worst Film, Worst Acting, and Worst Manners, All Kpop reported.

The Golden Holiday starring Kwak Do Won was chosen by the voting body as the Worst Movie of the Year. Kwak Do Won was also chosen as the actor with the worst manners this year.

Despite his reputation as a good actor, he was heavily criticized for not doing promotions for two movies he appeared in this year, including The Golden Holiday and Steel Rain 2. His lack of promotion may have been attributed to allegations that he assaulted a staff member, but reporters were irked even more by his attitude when he appeared in television shows without even addressing the incident.

The consensus of nine out of the 25 reporters who voted for the film was that it was not funny, lacked an interesting plot, and had sloppy development. Reporters also dismissed the movie for not being worth the viewers' money.

It was not a surprise that The Golden Holiday took home the prize because it also tanked at the box office.

Meanwhile, a film starring A Pink's Chorong took the second spot among the worst movies of 2020. Road Family performed poorly at the box office, drawing in only 5,477 viewers.

Eight out of 25 reporters said that the main weakness of the movie was its poor acting. As a result, Chorong received the most votes for the Worst Actor category. Critics complained about her robot-like acting and said that Chorong needs to get more acting training because she was unable to convey the emotions needed for the film.

Road Family was Chorong's big-screen debut after focusing most of her 10-year career with promotions for A Pink, Korea Joong reported.

In an interview, she said that she wanted to also excel in acting the same way she did with A Pink. She said she is willing to do her best in drama or film projects that she will work on. Bae Jung Nam, who starred in this year's Mr. Zoo, The Missing VIP, and Okay! Madam was the runner up for the Worst Actor.
