Like all other free-to-play titles, "PUBG Mobile" is not an exception for hackers and cheaters. To combat this, devs have been banning millions of accounts week after week, but it looks like cheaters always find a way to hack and cheat on the game. Just a few days earlier, Tencent banned over a million accounts because of cheating.

Distribution Of "PUBG Mobile" Banned Account

During its recent weekly report, Tencent shared that 1,498,044 accounts were banned because of cheating. It appears that these cheats used various hacks to gain an unfair advantage in the hit mobile shooter title. For most of the banned accounts, players were caught using auto-aim hacks.

Out of the banned "PUBG Mobile" accounts, 24% were caught using X-ray Vision and 16% were caught using Speed Hacks. Meanwhile, 10% of the cheaters were using Modification of Area Damage, 7% were caught modifying their character model, and 17% were classified as Others. It is not surprising to see Auto-aim and X-ray Vision hacks top the list of cheats used in the game.

Tactical shooting titles like "PUBG Mobile" are heavily dependent not only on accuracy and on mechanical skill but also on ready the movements of the enemies. The Xray-Vision hack enables users to see where the opponents are hiding, allowing them to pre-aim. Meanwhile, Auto-Aim enables players to land headshots without aiming their sights.

"PUBG Mobile" Distribution Of Banned Ranks

Interestingly, "PUBG Mobile" players caught cheating in the game are not exclusive to one rank but distributed all through the ranks in the game. Conqueror players may still encounter hackers while playing the hit mobile shooter. This only shows how rampant cheating is now in "PUBG Mobile."

In terms of rank distribution, 2% of the banned accounts are Conquerors, 8% are Ace players, 12% are Crown rank, 14% are Diamond rank and 13% are Platinum rank. There are 29% of banned "PUBG Mobile" accounts are Bronze rank, while 11% are Gold and Silver ranks.

How To Protect Your PUBG Mobile Account From Hackers

"PUBG Mobile" also shared a video on its various social media handles offering advice to players n how to protect their accounts from hackers. It recommends having a new password for every account and enabling the two-factor authentication. Players must also change their passwords every six months and avoid sharing information with anyone. Also, "PUBG Mobile" has an anti-cheating division committed to continuously monitor players that have been reported using unfair means. Devs can ban players for ten years for those caught violating the game's rules.
