Melania Trump and Donald Trump brought back the tradition of posing for their annual official Christmas portrait. After ditching the practice last year, they chose to continue with it for their last holiday inside the White House.

Official photographer Andrea Hanks took the shot on December 10. Reports added that it was on the same day as the Congressional Christmas party, wherein the couple likely wore the same outfit they chose for their portrait.

The Daily Mail reported that the First Couple wore "matching tuxedos," to complete their coordinating black-and-white sartorial pieces. The First Lady wore a buttoned-up plain white shirt underneath her long black tuxedo jacket, while the U.S. President went for his usual classic ensemble.

Footwear News, later on, analyzed Melania Trump's entire ensemble, which featured high-rise black trousers with a "coordinating cummerbund." She paired the look with her sleek black stiletto pumps.

While confirmations remain scarce as to what brand she chose for her footwear, the publication noted that the design resembles the First Lady's go-to pair from Christian Louboutin. It appears that she donned the So Kate pumps that come with 5-inch heels.

She seemingly went all out with glamor as her "long brunette locks are swept." She did not, however, wore eye-catching accessories, and kept the look chic, classy, and sleek.

Melania Trump took the time to share the portrait on her social media accounts. She captioned the photo with a greeting from her and "President Donald J. Trump."

The First Lady, also, credited the official White House photographer in her post. She noted, as well, that they posed on the Grand Staircase of the People's House for the picture.

Several netizens immediately shared their reactions in the comment section. On Twitter, the portrait has since obtained mixed receptions, with many individuals criticizing and mocking them.

"The decorations are tacky," one netizen said, adding that the public is "glad" that they will already leave the White House soon. Donald and Melania Trump "dressed alike because they are alike," another critic tweeted, and ended the post with the word "evil."

Despite all the negative comments, some supporters and fans still shared their praise and love for the outgoing First Couple. Others even thanked the First Lady for her efforts inside the White House.

"Thank you for your service," one fan stated, urging that she should "ignore the haters" as she has made everyone proud. Melania "still looks beautiful and graceful" even in a tuxedo, another supporter shared.
