Samantha Markle, the older half-sister of Meghan Markle, has filed a complaint against her husband, Mark Phillips, for domestic violence after he allegedly hit her on the face over an argument about her toilet use at their Florida home.

Reports revealed that the incident took place on Dec. 14. The police booked Phillips at the Polk County Jail but he was able to post bail after a day.

Meghan's sister said that her husband was angry after asking for help in the toilet at 1:00 a.m. Samantha disclosed to The Sun that she's a handicap and has been in a wheelchair since her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2008.

Samantha said that, Phillips, her partner since 2016, apparently left their home after hitting her on the face. However, the police caught the man, and he will be due for a court date in early 2021.

This, however, is not the first time the couple has had a violent instance in their home. The police were also at their house in New Mexico a number of times for domestic abuse, according to Daily Mail.

Samantha's ex-husband Scott Rasmussen also had altercations with Phillips, leading to the filing of restraining orders. At that time, Rasmussen had been fighting for full custody of their daughter, Noel Rasmussen. She turned 18 in 2016.

Despite her legal troubles, Samantha is relentless in her attack against her estranged half-sister. She has repeatedly asked Meghan to reconcile with their father, Thomas Markle, who is 76 years old, but she also calls the Duchess of Sussex a social climber.

Meghan and Samantha grew out of touch with each other when the latter became wheelchair-bound. The older half-sister has never met Prince Harry or their baby, Archie Harrison, in person. In November, Samantha called out Meghan and Harry's Remembrance Day photo for being "exploitative and offensive."

But Samantha is also not on good terms with her brother, Thomas Markle Jr., who is based in New Mexico with their mother, Roslyn. The younger Thomas also had his own brushes with the law, especially over his fights with his ex-partner Darlene Blount.

In May 2018, Samantha and Phillips landed in trouble with the Florida cops for claiming that they crashed their car because of a paparazzi. Police investigations showed that the couple had been lying, despite Meghan's sister telling TMZ that she had a broken ankle treated at the emergency room as a result of that car crash. The cops said that they checked the name, the date or time of the incident, and the site of the incident and found no reports of a car crash.
