The Golden State Warriors just cannot seem to shrug off the injury bug. The Dubs lost another player recently in Marquese Chriss who broke his right leg. The 23-year-old fell awkwardly during their practice last Saturday and will be undergoing surgery soon.

According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Chriss will miss the remainder of the season. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr bared that the injury happened when the Dubs were holding a 12-minute post-practice session last weekend and that the 8th overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft fell awkwardly.

With Chriss out, rookie James Wiseman will have to do more to make sure the Warriors stay afloat. Kevon Looney is back from his spate of injuries and it remains to be seen if the Dubs will explore the free-agent market to fill up his spot.

With the 6-foot-9 out for the season, another question is what the future holds for him at the Bay Area. He signed a partially guaranteed deal with Golden State with Kerr hoping he could continue improving alongside Wiseman.

After bouncing from one team to another, it appeared the native of California finally found a home with the Warriors. But considering it is a redemption year for the Dubs, his deal could be cut for the many-time champions to fill in the void.

"Obviously, we are all devastated for him, for the outcome... so we don't know how long he'll be out. He'll have surgery and we'll know more after the surgery. But I just feel so horrible for Quese," Kerr said.

Before the Chriss injury, the Warriors were already dealing with other players out injured. Klay Thompson is unlikely to play this 2020-21 season after tearing his right Achilles. Like the Dubs, the 30-year-old was left distraught and shared how frustrating it was not to play with his teammates for the second season in a row via Instagram.

Green, on the other end, has yet to play this season due to a right foot injury. According to Kerr, they are taking a cautious approach and placing a premium on making sure that the 30-year-old returns healthy.

"We just felt that from a conditioning standpoint it made more sense to give him the next two games off. He's not going to play tonight or in Detroit [on Tuesday]. He's doing really well; the foot has healed nicely,” Kerr said.
