Thomas Magnum (Jason Hernandez) and Juliet Higgins' (Perdita Weeks) dynamics will continue to play out in Magnum P.I. season 3. They two have already encountered a lot of action-packed cases, as well as undercover missions.

Magnum and Higgins' relationship has been an interesting part of the crime-action drama even though they weren't romantically involved. They've been taking on several cases over the past years, proving how unique their partnership is. In Magnum P.I. season 3, fans will see more of them working together.

While some things between them may change due to Higgins' new promotion, they won't stop doing more undercover missions moving forward. As per a recent report from TVLine, the two will do something like this later in the season -- particularly posing a married couple.

Magnum and Higgins go on an undercover mission as a couple several times already. The series brings a lot of fun and lighthearted stories whenever the duo does that. Now, in one of the episodes of Magnum P.I. season 3, they're going to pretend as husband and wife looking for houses in a local neighborhood.

Despite the fun and excitement, this particular mission comes with concern. Magnum and Higgins need to be careful and avoid doing suspicious actions in order to complete their task. In addition, Higgins' personal life may be impacted, given that she's in a relationship.

Although she's not romantically involved with Magnum, many are rooting for them. Her professional life may bring some conflict to her new relationship with Dr. Ethan Shah (Jay Ali). This will further be fleshed out as Magnum P.I. season 3 progresses.

Meanwhile, a new episode is coming this weekend on CBS. The title of episode 5 is "First the Beat down, Then the Blowback." Based on the synopsis, Magnum and Higgins will be helping a mixed martial arts fighter. This person needs the duo's help since he's being pressured by a gang to throw an illegal fight.

Also, the promo sees Magnum and Higgins in the middle of a heated argument. The former accused the latter that she cheated so that he won't be able to pass the test. This will be addressed in the upcoming episode, specifically whether or not the titular character's claim is true.

Elsewhere, Kumu Tuileta (Amy Hill) is facing her own problem. She's been arrested for seating an artifact from a collector. The item must be returned to its original resting place. What she needs to do now is to convince the others that she has no intention to steal and just doing the right thing.

Magnum P.I. season 3 returns on Friday, January 8, on CBS.
