Dr. Stone Season 3 may still be far away, but fans can't help but talk about the next season. Season 2 is just about to start this January, and it may stay on the air for a couple of months.
All eyes will surely be on Dr. Stone Season 3 and Senku Ishigami's possible return when the second season ends. The Japanese manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi is now making waves in the anime universe. As its success continuously grows, fans will crave to see more of Ishigami and the rest of the gang.
It may be too early to talk about the anime's third installment, but there are many possibilities to it. Given that the second season is called Stone Wars, Monsters & Critics noted Season 3 could be called Source of the Petrification, Age of Exploration, or Treasure Island.
It remains to be seen how many episodes Season 3 will have, but there is a significant chance that will be a two-cour season with 22 to 24 episodes to feature.

According to CBR, the second season will feature new characters, locales, and the first look at the Tsukasa Army headquarters and its people. After fans get to know of the Ishigami people in the first season, they now have the chance to meet the opposing camp.
Here, three new characters will be introduced, and just by seeing their muscular structure, viewers will quickly know that they are from the Tsukasa camp.Nikki, Ukyo, and Yo will join Dr. Stone Season 2.
The new trailer gives a hint of what roles they will play, although it delicately tries to avoid revealing too much about them. However, as the team attempts to "undermine Tsukasa's rule," there is a huge possibility these three will be allies.
Meanwhile, Dr. Stone Season 2 is one of the most anticipated anime series that will be part of the Winter 2021 anime season. With its fame, Dr. Stone Season 3 may experience the same success.
The anime series has become an instant favorite, thanks to its eccentric storyline, introducing Ishigami, the de facto leader of the Kingdom of Science. All he wants to do is rebuild civilization and establish his realm to bring back science and technology to the world.
Now, it remains to be seen if Ishigami will succeed with the help of his friends as Tsukasa strongly opposes his plans. So, fans have to wait and see if this will continue in Dr. Stone Season 3, which may be out in 2022 or beyond.
