SEAL Team season 4 episode 5 is coming this week and it will finally address Ray Perry's (Neil Brown Jr.) fate. He was in a dangerous situation at the end of the fourth episode, leaving his future uncertain. He is fighting for his life and trying to find a way to escape.

SEAL Team season 4 episode 5 comes with the title "The Carrot or the Stick." Ray will try to survive captivity even though he knows that he is in a life-and-death situation. It can be recalled that in episode 4, he sustained severe injuries following a bombing at a café.

Ray fell unconscious and the bombers took him somewhere else. The biggest question now is whether or not he'll make it out alive after all of this. Based on previous teases, he was in bad shape. It seems like his captors tortured him and gave him a hard time.

Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) and the rest of the Bravo Team are doing their best to locate their missing brother. However, they haven't been entirely successful in finding his exact location. This is quite difficult for them, yet they're determined to bring Ray back on their side.

Ray, on the other hand, is also doing his best to save himself. In one of the previously-released sneak peeks of SEAL Team season 4 episode 5, he's trying to free himself from his restraints and get out of his cell. He is not giving up and is determined to escape his current situation.

But, as seen in the clip, Ray looks exhausted. There's blood in his face, which he possibly got from the bomb explosion, as well as torture. It remains to be seen what the future holds for him, and whether he can save himself or the Bravo Team will.

Everyone will be involved in searching for Ray, though they don't have the same philosophy in dealing with the situation. For instance, another sneak peek of SEAL Team season 4 episode 5 showed Sonny Quinn (A.J. Buckley) and Clay Spencer (Max Thieriot) leading the operation to gather information.

Yet, both of them have different opinions when it comes to getting such information -- either using the carrot or the stick, a reference to the title. Sonny wants to go on a forceful approach, while Clay wants the operation to be as peaceful as possible.

The situation further heated after Sonny accused Clay of being too soft following his time away from the field. Thus, the mission to save Ray comes with a lot of challenges, not only for him but for the rest of the Bravo Team. In the end, they all have the same goal: to save their missing brother.

SEAL Team season 4 episode 5 is scheduled to air on Wednesday, Jan. 13, on CBS.
