NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9 will continue the unexpected shootout at the end of the previous episode. Vostanic Sabatino (Erik Palladino) is coming back in "A Fait Accompli," as well as in a few more upcoming episodes. Here is what viewers can expect.

Sabatino's arc is going to play out in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9. This storyline will be the focus of this week, considering what transpired at the end of episode 8. Based on the promo, there is a nuclear threat that will put everyone's life in danger.

Aside from the action, personal stories are coming for some characters. For instance, Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) begins his training as a proper NCIS agent. He and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) are talking about his current situation, hoping that he'd find support in her.

Deeks' training journey will be a long one and it could lead him in different directions. In fact, he runs into danger which could lead him to get kicked out of the training. But, the clip of NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9 sees Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) giving him a special offer.

Furthermore, the synopsis notes that Hetty has a "life-changing" surprise for Deeks. Perhaps, she found another way to hire him full-time and be an official part of the team. After all, he's been an active part of the LAPD and worked alongside other agents within the department.

Meanwhile, G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is ready to make a huge step in his relationship with Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9. Although this wasn't shown in the promo, it's clear that he is planning to propose to her.

Callen also visited Anna's father, Arkady (Vyto Ruginis), who has a different opinion about this matter. He presented an idea that nothing needs to be changed between the two they weren't really a marrying type of people. Yet, Callen is determined to push his plans.

Both of them have been through a lot, proving their long journey together and apart. They've struggled and even lived in different parts of the world. Now, Callen is seemingly ready to settle down and begin the next chapter of his life with Anna.

Despite a few setbacks, Callen is determined to make his plans happen. As for Anna, it's yet to be seen whether or not she'll appear within this episode since Paly wasn't listed as one of the guest stars. Yet, she could make an unexpected appearance at some point.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9 will air on Sunday, Jan. 17, on CBS.
